As our community is growing rapidly, so is the number of athletes registering for AAYSA sports. Please understand that while we try to accommodate teammate and coach requests as much as possible, there are are many factors that go into establishing teams and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests. Learning to play with different teammates and coaches also helps prepare our athletes for middle and high school athletics. Team placement is at the discretion of individual sports commissioners.
Additionally, registration for and placement on a team is not always guaranteed. The number of registrants for each sport may be limited to ensure reasonable playing time for our athletes. Once a team has been filled, a waitlist may be opened for additional registrants. Therefore, it is imperative that you register your athletes as early as possible in the registration process to ensure their placement on a team.
Please remember to be considerate and respectful of our commissioners who volunteer a great deal of their time, effort, and energy into running our sports programs. Without our volunteers, we would be unable to offer these opportunities for our athletes.
